Equipment

Ingredients

  • 4-5 lb turkey breast skin-on and bone-in
  • 1.5 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 8 garlic cloves peeled and minced
  • 2 Tbsp fresh rosemary chopped
  • ½ lemon
  • 1 whole garlic head top cut off (optional)

Instructions

  • Rub 1 tablespoon olive oil all over the turkey breast, focusing on the skin. Season turkey breast with salt and pepper from all sides. Combine minced garlic, chopped rosemary, and remaining olive oil and spread half over the meat under skin. Spread remaining garlic mixture all over the breast. Squeeze lemon juice over the meat and put the lemon half in the cavity together with 1 whole garlic head (optional)
  • Preheat the Air Fryer to 350 degrees F. Cook turkey breast skin side down for 20 minutes, then flip it skin-side up and cook 30 to 35 minutes more until the internal temperature is 160 degrees F and the skin is golden and crispy, cooking time depends on the size of the breast.
  • Take the breast out and let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes before carving.

Notes

  1. The size of breast you can make depends on the size of your Air Fryer, I used a Ninja Foodie which has a big capacity for the breast shown in the pictures. The meat should be below the top of the basket. A 5 quart or bigger Air Fryer should easily fit a 4-5 pound breast.
  2. This recipe also works with boneless turkey breasts
  3. Cooking time will vary depending on the size of the breast. I recommend using an Instant-read thermometer to check the internal temperature
  4. A smaller breast takes about 45-50 min in total, a larger breast 50-55 min
  5. Avoid touching the bone when you measure the temperature
  6. If your turkey breast is frozen, you need to thaw it first
  7. You can also make a compound butter with herbs, garlic, and butter, and spread it under the skin of the turkey
  8. If you don't have an Air Fryer but still want to save time or make something different from a traditional turkey check out my Stuffed Turkey Breast
  9. Leftovers keep up to 5 days in an airtight container in the fridge
