Ingredients

  • 1 organic lime
  • 4 kumquats
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 6 leaves basil
  • 20 oz Ginger Ale
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Cut the lime and place half of the pieces in each glass. Quarter three of the kumquats and divide them between the glasses. Put one teaspoon of brown sugar and 3 basil leaves into each glass.
  • Mash fruits and sugar with a muddler to release their flavour.
  • Add some ice cubes to each glass and top up with ginger ale.
  • Stir a little bit to combine the flavours, garnish the glass with a kumquat half and serve with a straw.
  • Enjoy your Kumquat Basil Ginger Limeade!

Notes

You can replace the ginger ale with sparkling water for a lighter version.
Use natural limes for this drink, most limes are treated with pesticides or wax which won't taste good in your drink.
